Promote cooperative relationships among the commissioners/regulators of tribal gaming enterprises and other organizations;
Promote exchange of thoughts, information and ideas which foster regulatory standards and enforcement that lead to consistent regulatory practices and methods of operations among the NTGC/R members;
Promote educational seminars, which include commissioners/regulator training and other related activities; and
The NTGC/R may act as a gaming regulatory advisory group to tribal gaming organizations and others.
TRIBAL APPLICATION NTGC/R
The National Tribal Gaming Commissioners & Regulators (NTGC/R) is a non-profit, voluntary association composed of Tribal Gaming Regulatory entities and Associate Members representing federally recognized tribal governments, gaming tribes, Nations, Rancherias, Pueblos, Bands, and businesses involved in gaming enterprises in Indian Country.
The purpose of the NTGC/R is to promote a cooperative relationship among the commissioners/regulators of Tribal gaming enterprises and other organizations and also to promote regulatory standards, methods of operation, educational seminars and other activities, through the exchange of ideas and information, for the mutual benefit of all concerned. The NTGC/R may also act as a gaming regulatory, advisory group to tribal gaming organizations and others.
MEMBERSHIP
As a member of NTGC/R, your Tribe or organization will receive all NTGC/R publications, meeting notices, and action alerts. You will also be elibible discounts on registration fees for NTGC/R seminars, meetings, and trade show booth space. The association membership designations are as follows:
Member Tribes: A Tribe desiring to become a member shall submit in writing to NTGC/R,a letter of authorization signed by the gaming commission chairperson, the application and annual membership dues.
Voting Members: Each approved member tribe will have one vote, to be cast by their designated representative.
Associate Members: Any other commissioners or regulators approved for membership shall be recognized as associate members. Associate members may also include individuals representing tribal gaming enterprises and/or tribal councils. Associate members are eligible to serve on committees as approved or directed by the NTGC/R Board of Directors.
Affiliate Members: Affiliate members may include anyone recommended by the NTGC/R Board of Directors.
For those tribes that are not yet members, but desire to become members, a letter of authorization signed by the gaming commission chairperson, the application and annual membership dues. This is necessary to become a Voting Member of the organization. A designated voting representative will also need to be indicated on the application.
Upon becoming a member, representatives from your Tribe will automatically be eligible for Associate Membership. This permits them to become active members of the organization by allowing them to serve on committees as approved by the NTGC/R Board of Directors.
MEMBERSHIP DUES
Annual membership dues are to be paid by all current members as well as by new applicants. The amount of the annual dues are as follows:
Membership Dues Structure: Amount Due
Non-Gaming Tribes & Class II $250.00
Class III Gaming Tribes $500.00
Dues are payable upon submission of the initial application and on the first day of January thereafter. Dues must be paid in full to obtain and maintain all benefits as members of the NTGC/R.
