NTGCR selects Spring 2017 Scholarship Recipient

Sean Lawrence NTGC/R 2017 Scholarship Recipient

Green Bay, WI – March 16, 2017 – The National Tribal Gaming Commissioners/Regulators Scholarship Committee announced the recipient of the NTGCR Spring 2017 scholarship award. Mr. Sean Lawrence, a Tribal Member of Lummi Nation has been selected as the recipient of the scholarship award. Mr. Lawrence currently attends Arizona State University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration.

Mr. Lawrence will receive a $2,500.00 scholarship to assist with tuition, books, meal cards and living expenses. Recipients are selected based on academic grade point average, exhibition of leadership, community involvement, written essay, letter of recommendations, accomplishments and professional development.

Applicants for the Fall semester will be taken until June 30, 2017. Applications can be downloaded at the organization’s website, www.ntgcr.com.

The NTGCR is a non-profit organization consisting of tribal regulatory members and other non-voting affiliate members. The organization is dedicated to providing tribal gaming regulators with education and training. The NTGCR promotes cooperative relationships amongst tribes and may act as a gaming regulatory advisory group to tribal gaming organizations.
